The Korean Lineage
Before dance was performance, it was ritual.
In ancient Korean mystic traditions, dance was more than performance or physical expression. It belonged to ritual.
Movement became a way of crossing the threshold between the visible and invisible. A way of entering altered states of consciousness, connecting to something greater than the individual self and allowing the body to become a vessel for what could not be reached through thought alone.
The body didn’t dance simply to express itself. It danced to remember its relationship with the divine.
Soul Rave carries this remembrance into a contemporary world. Not by recreating an ancient ritual. But by asking: what could ritual look like today?
Perhaps it has electronic music.
Perhaps it happens beneath lights instead of around a fire.
Perhaps the sound moves through headphones.
Or fills the room.
Perhaps hundreds of bodies move together.
Perhaps the rave itself becomes the ritual.

At first glance, they belong to different worlds.
Ancient. Sacred.
Contemporary. Underground.
But look closer.
Both gather humans around rhythm.
Both use repetition to move us beyond ordinary consciousness.
Both can dissolve the boundaries between the individual and the collective.
Both can alter our perception of time.
Both can take us somewhere the thinking mind cannot.
Perhaps the rave was never as far from ritual as we thought.
Soul Rave brings the two back together.
What Is A Soul Rave?
A Soul Rave is a contemporary ritual built around one of humanity’s oldest ways of shifting consciousness: rhythm and movement.
Not choreography. Not performance. Not another guided wellness practice.
Dance becomes a technology of reconnection.
A way of moving beyond the thinking mind and remembering the intelligence, consciousness and creative force already living within the body.
Until the room is no longer simply a room full of people dancing.
It becomes ritual.
The Experience
We get high on our own life force.
Through collective energy work, we reconnect to the life force already moving within us. No substances needed.
The individual journey becomes amplified through the field created by many bodies connecting together.
Movement is approached as something sacred. A threshold between the ordinary and the extraordinary.
This isn’t about transcending the human experience. It’s about entering it more fully.

Who Holds This
Founder & Creative Director
Soul Rave was created by Korean-Egyptian founder and spaceholder Mona Hassan as a contemporary expression of something deeply personal: the remembrance of dance as a pathway into altered states of consciousness and connection with the divine.
Rooted in Korean mystic teachings and shaped by years of working with consciousness, embodiment and collective transformation, Mona guides the dance journey at the heart of Soul Rave. Together with Patrick, she guides the collective energy work that connects the individual experience to the field created between us.
Co-Creator
Patrick Guérin is a master energy practitioner known for his grounded presence and clarity in the subtle realm. For over a decade, he has worked at the intersection of energy intelligence and transformation, accompanying hundreds of people through private and immersive group spaces.
Within Soul Rave, Patrick guides the inner journey that opens the ritual. Together with Mona, he guides the collective energy work that connects the individual experience to the field before the journey expands into movement and dance.
Soul Rave is a living collaboration.
Along the way, Soul Rave has collaborated with electronic musicians, live instrumentalists, artists and spaceholders. Each edition takes on the character of the place and community receiving it.
